“I have always believed that an investment in education is an investment in the future. Lack of adequate funding, soaring dropout rates, and low test scores equal a sense of hopelessness and despair amongst today’s children. Addressing any of these problems is not only a challenging undertaking, but also a great chance to affect tomorrow’s generations. I am looking forward to an exciting opportunity with The Broad Residency to affect meaningful change in an ailing system that has been failing our youth for too long.”

Sophia Kamberos is currently a project manager in the human capital group of the Chicago Public Schools where she manages the National Board Certification program at CPS. Since her arrival, she has led the strategic redesign of the National Board Certification program which included securing internal financing, creating new recruiting strategies and targets, redesigning the program incentives and leading research and evaluation initiatives. Prior to joining The Broad Residency, Kamberos was an assistant brand manager at Alberto Culver. Her most recent position was on the TRESemmé brand where she led the launch of a new line for styling products for the business.
